‘Ruin Leads to Transformation.’

An evening ago, I decided to watch “Eat Pray Love” the recently released movie starring Julia Roberts based on the novel by Elizabeth Gilbert. It was about a woman who recently divorced her husband and lost her ‘flavor’ for life or more simply put her balance.

In an effort to reinstate her lost love for life, she decided to make three significant trips to Italy, India and Bali. As she toured Rome, she came upon the ‘Mausoleum of Augustus’; the magnificent architecture stood in ruins as once a great relic of a final resting place to a public bathroom for homeless people. Elizabeth marveled at the structure before her and thought how ‘Ruin Leads to Transformation.’ She wasn’t the only one in awe though, the sight captured my attention also and boy did my mind begin to ponder...

‘Ruin Leads to Transformation.’

We can’t help but feel an affiliation with the above phrase because as humans we have at some point experienced the wrath and fury of ruin and the firm yet forgiving hands of transformation.

What is transformation?

It means to change. Change is a simple two-syllable word even we are afraid to grasp. Change means to amend and amend is to make improvements.
Why do we thrill ourselves with the idea of a newer car model but scare at the thought of a newer me? Change is responsible for various world phenomena; every speck of creation, animate or inanimate, must undergo change.
It’s the way the world is…

        “The moon is reflected in the water;
        The moon doesn’t get wet and the water is undisturbed.” – Eihei Dogen

It’s the same, ruin is allowed to be reflected in our lives from time to time but it is up to us to not get disturbed by it but to grow from it and beautifully transform into a stronger being. Its how nature develops us for the ruin and hurt ahead of us because it is the way of our world for misfortune to follow fortune and vice versa.  This cycle continues because it’s how nature conceives balance but rest assure, over time, we should realize that ‘good’ and ‘bad’ are relative and it is our power of perception that guides us in the hour of counsel and shows us the clearer picture;

The ‘truth...’

Life is a chance to give your best performance in high definition accuracy, the greatest competition; but it doesn’t highlight a single winner; its prize is shared among those who truly persevere and endure in the midst of its back- breaking, soul stirring challenges.

Giving up and despairing reduces your chances at scoring to your fullest potential.

Wake up and RUN!
The clock is counting down…

‘Keep moving forward.”

"Your Best Life Now"-Joel Osteen

These are a select few paragraphs from this life inspiring book

When we hold on to unforgiveness and we live with grudges, we are simply shutting other people out of our lives. We become isolated, alone, warped and imprisoned by our own bitterness.
Do you realize that these walls prevents God’s blessing from flowing into our lives? They can stop the flow of god’s favour and keep our prayers from being answered and they’ll hinder your dreams from coming to pass.

You must forgive the people who hurt you so you can get out of your ‘prison.’ Get the bitterness out of your life; it’s the only way you’ll be free.

“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, our heavenly father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive men of their sins; your Father will not forgive you of your sins.”

Matthew 6:14 - 15

"Faith tells you the best is yet to come…"

‘God is more interested in changing you than he is in changing your circumstances. You may not always like it; you may want to run away from it;
you may even resist it,
but God is going to bring the issue up again and again until you overcome and learn from the trial.’

Faith tells you the best is yet to come…

'Stardom'

Just like a single star in the night sky can provide a spectacle to wonder at, so can we as people. The design our milky way mirrors the design of a single atom; neutrons and protons in a dense nucleus and electrons orbiting at different levels, all in constant harmonious motion.
Is it possible that inside every atom, a universe exists? Constantly expanding into our true potential? Is every form of creation a sub-multiple or multiple of something greater than us? If so, then deep inside us lies a universe waiting to be discovered so vast yet intricately tiny so that it can grow within us and extend beyond us.
Now let’s sit back and marvel at the idea that our universe can be a direct extension of who we are.
So this is what modern belief calls ‘your true potential.’
Imagine the power of the universe inside our very cores; our ‘life force.’
Up till today, scientists can’t manufacture blood or haven’t seen the true form of an atom, just shadows of it, yet we choose to believe no higher power or significance exist…

So, if a single star, big and bright, millions of miles away can inspire right here, why should we have space for doubt?
